The Balkan Green Belt is the southernmost section of the European Green Belt, a corridor of habitats with an exceptional biodiversity between the far North of Europe and the Black Sea in the South. EuroNatur and its partners run a project supported by Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (German Federal Environmental Foundation) aimed at contributing to raising the population’s awareness of this unique habitat network, reaching high levels of acceptance for conservation measures. The photo competitions in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey are part of the project’s extensive set of measures.

Both residents and visitors of the Balkan Green Belt are invited to submit their most beautiful or expressive photos of the region’s unique nature, specific cultural features, and people. Winners can look forward to attractive prices. Closing date is the 30th of June 2016.
